Quintessa smiles serenely, not pulling away from Velocity's grip. "You did not," she reassured. "All is well now, Velocity. Everyone is safe."

Velocity nodded and turned to curl further around Quintessa, a thin noise that had nothing to do with pain building in the back of her throat. "Safe," she repeated shakily. "Good, that's- that's good. And-" She suddenly lifted her head, looking around. "And Ratchet, is he...? He's safe? He's okay?"
